Elemental Traces, 2007
This is a series of fifteen miniature original prints, size: 15 x 15 cm (6 x 6 inches). These began as a response to a given theme for the “Periodic Table of Elements Printmaking Project”. They are all what would be termed monoprints. Each is a unique original print. In the main these are works made using the intaglio printing press apart from one print which although initially made as an etching onto a chine colle and collagraph – ended up being in the form of an entirely digital print.
Techniques
The techniques used to make the prints include offset, copper etching, acrylic hard ground, collagraph, acrylic etch, embossed etching and silkscreen
